Weather Alert 7/31/25
Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening with the potential for heavy rainfall.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Westchester County in effect from 2:00 p.m. through Friday morning. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Urban, low lying and poor drainage areas will be most susceptible to flooding. High rainfall rates can also create hazardous conditions.

During a flood, water levels and the rate at which the water is flowing can quickly change.
- Do not drive through flooded roadways.
- Never drive around barricades.
- Rising and fast floodwaters can sweep vehicles away or cause you to lose control of a vehicle.
- If you live in a basement or below-grade and believe conditions could lead to flooding, relocate to a safer location.
- Don't wait for an alert message to act. Trust your instincts and move to higher ground if conditions worsen.
