Year Round Recreation Ad Hoc Committee

Mission Statement

The Village of Mamaroneck Ad Hoc Committee for Year-Round Recreation is charged with evaluating and recommending sustainable, inclusive, and accessible recreational opportunities that support community wellness, engagement, and quality of life for all Village residents. Building on previous work, including studies related to Harbor Island Park and year-round tennis, the committee will explore a range of options—such as relocating and rehabilitating existing facilities and developing new year-round programming or infrastructure. In collaboration with the Parks & Recreation Commission and with input from the public, the committee will deliver a comprehensive report to the Board of Trustees by December 31, 2026, outlining feasible strategies to enhance the Village’s recreational offerings in a fiscally responsible and forward-thinking manner.
