Beautification Committee
Mission Statement
The Village of Mamaroneck is creating a Beautification Ad Hoc Committee for the purpose of enhancing the natural beauty, cleanliness and general appearance of the open space and streetscapes of our Village. The Committee will seek ways to reduce litter, remove graffiti and enhance the look of our Village. In addition, the Committee will help design and install plantings with a strong focus on using native plants, in coordination with the Committee for the Environment. In seeking ways to beautify our Village, the Committee will work with Village staff and with community partners where appropriate.
The Committee will make recommendations to the Board of Trustees for areas of improvement and action items as well as focus on particular areas in need of improvement as directed by the Board of Trustees and listed in Table 1.
Members will be appointed by the Board of Trustees for a term of two years. The Committee shall consist of seven members and a Trustee Liaison. Members will have a good aesthetic sense and basic knowledge of gardening or interest to learn.
