Johnston Beach is Closed as of Monday, October 28, 2024. The beach closure is necessary to keep the public safe while demolition of the current spray ground equipment and construction of the new spray ground equipment takes place. The beach gates will be locked until all construction is complete.

From Tuesday, September 3, 2024, to Thursday, May 22, 2025 parking in Harbor Island Park is FREE. The Spring and Summer 2025 season at Harbor Island Park's Beach and Parking Lots begin on Friday, May 23, 2025.
