Description of Services
The Information Technology Department is dedicated to maintaining the Village’s local area network, automated systems, computer hardware, and software. In addition to overseeing the Village’s technologies, the IT Department serves as the primary purchasing agent for all technology-related equipment and services, ensuring that the Village utilizes reliable and up-to-date technology solutions.
Our IT department is committed to providing comprehensive technical support to all Village employees, including clerical staff, volunteers, committees, and boards. We offer assistance with daily technical issues, software applications, and specialized projects to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
Key Services
In-house software development allows the IT Department to create tailored solutions that address the unique needs of the Village. By leveraging open-source technologies and collaborating closely with all departments, the IT Department facilitates and streamlines workflow and productivity for both staff and boards/committees. The department also works with software vendors to effectively integrate and manage third-party solutions. Projects encompass a wide range of technologies, including wireless systems, network cabling, systems administration, VOIP systems, cybersecurity, surveillance systems, and software management.
Additionally, the IT Department is responsible for maintaining IT documentation and operating a responsive help desk to promptly address technical concerns. A proactive approach is taken to manage the Village’s technology infrastructure, ensuring that it remains secure, efficient, and adaptable to future advancements.
