Village of Mamaroneck Awarded $9.9 Million in State Grant Funding for Flood Mitigation Projects

The Village of Mamaroneck has been awarded $9,976,250 through New York State’s Resilient Watersheds Grant Program to advance major flood mitigation projects designed to improve flood flow conveyance and reduce flood risk in key areas of the Village.

The funding will support three flood mitigation projects focused on improving conditions at critical river crossings and at the confluence, helping advance the Village’s ongoing flood resiliency work.

Project Funding Summary - Total Awarded: $9,976,250

Funded Flood Mitigation Projects: Funding will support removal of the Tompkins Avenue Bridge and related work ($1,782,500), removal of the Center Avenue Pedestrian Bridge and related work ($5,203,750), and channel alignment at the confluence and related work ($2,990,000).
