Announcing Kathleen Gill, New Village Manager
Thursday, December 5, 2024 (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) — Kathleen Gill is the new Village Manager for the Village of Mamaroneck. Ms. Gill replaces Charles Strome, III who had been Mamaroneck’s Interim Village Manager since April 1, 2024. Ms. Gill was appointed by the Board of Trustees at their Annual Organizational Meeting on December 2, 2024.
Ms. Gill comes to the Village with a wide-ranging background in municipal government administration with an extensive knowledge of State, County and Municipal government functions. She will work side by side with Department heads to continue to implement the policies of the Village in an efficient and professional manner, ensuring that the Village and its residents receive the highest levels of service possible.
Ms. Gill served, first as Chief of Staff/Corporation Counsel and then as City Manager, for the City of New Rochelle. In New Rochelle, Ms. Gill oversaw 750+ full-time employees and an annual operating budget of $265 million.
Ms. Gill holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Skidmore College, a Masters Degree in Urban Planning and Environmental Studies from Pace University, and a Juris Doctorate from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. She has three children and resides in New Rochelle, New York.
