Start Date: Leaf Blowers Prohibited until September 30

Gasoline-powered leaf blowers are now prohibited throughout the year.

Beginning on May 15th, the operation of leaf blowers, as per the Village of Mamaroneck's Leaf Blower Law, is prohibited until September 30th. This includes ALL leaf blowers including gas, electric AND vacuum. Also, gasoline-powered leaf blowers are now prohibited throughout the year. Commencing May 15, 2024, it is a violation to use or cause another person to use a gasoline powered leaf blower in the Village of Mamaroneck.  Furthermore, Westchester County law requires that landscaping contractors be registered with the County and that leaf blowers meet County emissions regulations.
