Veterans Day - All Non-Emergency Village Offices Closed

All Non-Emergency Village offices are closed in honor of the observed Veterans Day Holiday on Monday, November 11. There will be no garbage, organic, food scrap*, rubbish, or recycling collection on Monday, November 11. In addition, the Recycling Center, including the Compost Drop-Off Program, at 313 Fayette Avenue is closed and the Marine Education Center at Harbor Island Park is also closed. *For our Monday food scrap subscribers in the Harbor Heights neighborhood: Because All Non-Emergency Village offices are CLOSED on Monday, November 11, there will be no food scrap collection. The Compost Drop-Off Program at 313 Fayette Avenue will also be closed on Monday, November 11. In preparation for November 11, the Food Scraps Drop Off Program at 313 Fayette Avenue will be open:

  • From Monday, November 4, through Friday, November 8, from 7:00am to 3:30pm
  • On Saturday, November 9, from 9:00am to 1:00pm
  • And again on Tuesday, November 12, from 7:00am to 3:30pm

While not as convenient as pick-up, we hope you will consider making alternative arrangements to drop off your food scraps. Otherwise, your next food scraps collection will be on Monday, November 18. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you in advance for your understanding.
