Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening with the potential for heavy rainfall.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Westchester County in effect from 2:00 p.m. through midnight. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Urban, low lying and poor drainage areas will be most susceptible to flooding. High rainfall rates can also create hazardous conditions.
Continue monitoring updates to the forecast by visiting weather.gov, then search for your zip code.
During a flood, water levels and the rate at which the water is flowing can quickly change.
