Tentative Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budget

Tentative Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budget

The Village Manager has released the tentative fiscal year 2026-2027 budget, which includes a 2.53% tax increase, or $789,473, an amount that is $80,211 below the New York State tax cap. The budget reflects the Village’s continued commitment to flood mitigation, revenue generation, long term financial stability, and investment in critical infrastructure.

The Village also anticipates a substantial increase in Fund Reserves, which would make it possible to allocate up to $2 million toward year two of the capital budget while remaining in compliance with the fund balance policy. This added reserve strength will help support planned capital improvements in a fiscally responsible way.

The tentative budget will be presented on March 23, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Courtroom, located at 169 Mount Pleasant Avenue. Residents are encouraged to review the proposed budget and participate in the upcoming budget meetings. The presentation may be viewed in person, on Optimum Channel 76, on Verizon Channel 35, or streamed online at lmcmedia.org.
