Winter Storm Clean-up: Overnight Snow Hauling & Clean-Up Notice (Tonight, Tuesday, February 24)

Village crews continue winter storm clean up following significant snowfall across the community. Based on preliminary measurements from multiple locations, the Village received approximately 20 to 21 inches of snow, with some Long Island Sound shoreline areas measuring 24 inches or more.

A huge thank you to the Village of Mamaroneck Department of Public Works, Parks Department, Police Department, Volunteer Fire Department, and Mamaroneck Emergency Medical Services for the long hours and nonstop effort throughout this storm response.

Snow Hauling Tonight (Starting 10:00 p.m.)

Beginning 10:00 p.m. tonight, crews will be hauling snow on the following locations:

• Mamaroneck Avenue (Business District)
• Halstead Avenue (Mamaroneck Ave to Jefferson Ave Ext.)
• Ward Avenue (Halstead Ave to Spencer Place)
• West Boston Post Road (Mamaroneck Ave to Delancey Ave)
• East Boston Post Road (Mamaroneck Ave to N. Barry Ave)
• Upper Hunter Tier
• Spencer Lot

Parking note: Overnight parking is prohibited throughout the snow removal locations listed. Upper Hunter Tier and Spencer Lot are additionally restricted from overnight parking tonight.

Enforcement and alternate parking: If a vehicle is parked on a listed overnight snow hauling street during this period, the vehicle will be issued a parking ticket and towed. Vehicles displaced by this restriction may park in any Village overnight parking lot at no charge for the duration of the restriction. Vehicles are not permitted to park overnight in Harbor Island Park, Upper Hunter Tier, or Spencer Lot.

What to Expect and Safety Reminder: Please use caution near active work zones tonight. Equipment will be operating, and temporary lane restrictions may occur. If you must travel, slow down and give plows and trucks plenty of space.
